Several sport-fishing lodges offer daily trips to Icy Strait, Glacier Bay and even the outer coast’s Fairweather Fishing Grounds. Walk-ons are often accepted and give everyone the opportunity to feel the rod tip quiver. Or, take the opportunity to try your hand at fly-fishing in the Salmon River with a local guide. You could catch any of five species of salmon, a halibut, cod or a rockfish. You may want to cook your catch at your cabin or B&B.
